To be considered for admission to the Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program / CUNY School of Medicine, an applicant must:
*Transfer students who have completed no more than one semester of college credits are eligible to apply.
NOTE: College credits earned before high school graduation are not counted for this purpose. If you have completed college courses for which you wish to be considered for credit, you must submit a copy of the official college transcript with your application.
The Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at the CUNY School of Medicine application deadline is December 30, 2023. The application should be submitted to your college advisor for review prior to the December 30th deadline. To be considered for the program, applicants must submit an electronic copy of their high school transcript by the deadline to SDCSOM@med.cuny.edu . Be sure to check with your college advisor/counselor about their preferred deadlines for submission of your completed Sophie Davis application.
In addition to the supplemental Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at the CUNY School of Medicine application, you must also submit a general CUNY application with City College as one of your choices. The CUNY application must be completed online. To apply go to www.cuny.edu/apply. If you are applying to Macaulay Honors College, submit both a Macaulay Honors application and a Sophie Davis/CUNY School of Medicine application only.
All Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at the CUNY School of Medicine admission notifications and decisions will be sent from our Office of Admissions on Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at the CUNY School of Medicine letterhead by April 1, 2023. Please note: notification from CUNY is separate. The City College Admissions Office may accept you before we send official correspondence regarding admission to our program. The deadline for the application to the Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at the CUNY School of Medicine is December 30th.
On the general CUNY application, students must list the Biomedical Science (Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education) BS/MD as a choice. The general application to The City University of New York should be submitted by February 1st.
