Ontario is investing over $190 billion in infrastructure projects to support schools, hospitals, public transit, roads, bridges and access to high-speed internet.

Roads and bridges

Building roads and bridges to shorten your daily commute, get goods to market faster and increase economic activity. Total projects: 531

Transit

Expanding and improving transit to get you to work, school and home — faster, safer and easier. Total projects: 479

Broadband

Making high-speed internet accessible in every community across the province. Total projects: 252

Health care

Building hospitals, community care and long-term care homes where you need them. Total projects: 87

Child care

Creating more licensed child care spaces in schools and other community settings. Total projects: 380

Community

Building stronger communities by helping build not-for-profit housing and accessible public buildings. Total projects: 2,266

Education

Funding schools, universities and colleges to build a strong education system. Total projects: 791

Recreation

Improving museums, sport facilities, theatres, and cycling and walking paths. Total projects: 381

Northern communities

Building new hospitals and schools, expanding roads and passenger rail, and improving high-speed internet access. Total projects: 1,150

Ontario’s growth

By 2041, Ontario’s population is expected to grow by approximately 30%, and our infrastructure needs to grow with it. Modernizing public infrastructure and building a seamless transportation network will help Ontario meet the needs of a growing population and strengthen our economy.
